The Dore Primary Bouldering team competed in the Sheffield City Championships last Friday and stormed home to a fantastic third place! This was a personal best for the school and showed the team’s great ability, but also determination and resilience. Special mention should go to Ben Taylor, who won a special award for not giving up on an especially challenging route, and to Hazel Jebb, who topped out on some extremely difficult climbs and used her experience to help other members of the team identify the correct techniques to succeed.
The team perfectly represented the school in terms of their attitude and behaviour. We were also fortunate to have many parents attend to cheer on the team and offer encouragement.
