Although it has been a hot couple of days (!), Y5 have spent their time in the relative calm, and slightly cooler air of Castleton and the surrounding area. The dorms have been lovely and cool, and activities have been adapted and amended to ensure that everyone has had a good supply of water, whilst avoiding spending much time in the direct sun.
On Monday, activities were based around the Hollowford Centre, with children rotating around groups for archery, team building games, mini obstacle course building and landscape art.
Later on in the day we played some water games to keep cool, then painted some pebbles as mementos. Evening activities included some free time for games – pool, table tennis, table football, then finished off with a story.
