As part of our Teaching Sequence for Writing, children take part in Immersion activities at the beginning of a unit of work to front-load their knowledge of context and text type.
Year 6 have been acting out short pieces of drama where an Aztec is beseeching one of their gods for assistance. We focussed on some of the most important gods in Aztec mythology and their respective domains, considering the language used and how this could later be adapted to form part of our finished myths as well as our drama and performance skills.
