Keep up to date with our events on Facebook @doreparentsassociation

Dore Parents Association (DPA)  is a registered charity which raises money for the benefit of Dore Primary School.
Registered Charity No.:1092499

Fundraising is ongoing throughout the year, including events such as the Parents Quiz Night, Summer Fair & Raffle, numerous Bun Sales, Brew Army and the annual Fun Run. All monies raised contribute hugely to the quality of our children’s school life, and offers the opportunity for school to purchase items that otherwise the school budget would not be able to stretch to.

In the last few years the DPA have purchased i-Pads, reading books, new production lighting as well as helping to reach the fundraising target for the new outdoor classroom and climbing wall in the junior playground.

We welcome all parents to be a part of the DPA, either by joining in the activities organised or donating their time or items wanted for a specific event.

Printer Cartridge Recycling:

Pick up a recycling bag from the school office or drop your toner into the box in the main entrance – just be sure to check its on the list of toners / cartridges accepted by visiting www.emptiesplease.com

Each time we return a box full of used cartridges the DPA will receive a cash donation from Empties Please.

Usborne Books

One of our amazing parents is an Independent Usborne Organiser and she has very kindly offered to give back to school 60p for every £1 spent to spend on Usborne books of their choice.

Visit:  https://org.usbornebooksathome.co.uk/nicolasbooknook/ to look at the range of books available.  PLEASE NOTE: ALL ORDERS MUST BE EMAILED TO nicolasbooknook@hotmail.com and NOT placed online for school to be able to receive their return.  Delivery is also free with orders received by email.

My Nametags labels are perfect for withstanding the demands of school life and they stick on great to clothes and other personal belongings (water bottles, lunch boxes etc).  For every order placed, the DPA will receive a donation back of 24% of your order value.

Corporate Match Funding

Match funding has the ability to increase the funds from our school fundraising events many times over.

An increasing number of large companies operate a match funding scheme whereby they match charity fundraising undertaken by their employees.

At last year’s summer fair 3 parents who all work for HSBC secured a total of £3000 in match funding which was in return for their time they volunteered during the event.  What a a fantastic addition to our fundraising total.

These organisations set aside millions of pounds to fund such schemes and are more than happy to support their staff in raising money for charities of their choice.  The amounts donated range from £250 to £1000 + per employee per event.

Dore Parents Association is a registered charity so we are in a position to benefit from such schemes and your involvement, however big or small at future fundraising events.

If your employer offers a match funding scheme, please contact Beki DawsTreasurer of our Parents Association so that we can see how to comply with their requirements.  Please email dorepafinance@gmail.com

If you have any ideas on how to raise funds for the school, please email DoreParents@gmail.com
