A huge well done to everyone who participated in our reading for pleasure challenges this half term, we were blown away by how much awesome reading took place across the school, and by how creative and resourceful the children have been in completing the different activities. From exciting new book covers, to whole stories written by our pupils; reading under crazy dens and reading to our pets, it’s been wonderful to share some of our favourite books and to celebrate reading together as a community. As promised, all children who completed their challenge sheets had their names put into a hat, and a winner from each class was chosen to receive their own brand new, exciting book! We also received some new books for us all to share in our classrooms, courtesy of Usbourne books (a huge thank you!) and the money raised from the book fair on World Book Day (thank you to all who purchased books on the day!). Well done everyone and we look forward to hearing about some good reads from your holidays!
