About Us

We are a new (opened September 2020) 26 place Pre-school based in the grounds of Dore Primary School offering high quality provision for 3 and 4 year olds. We provide a safe, nurturing and playful environment, where children are given time and space to explore the world around them. Underpinning our curriculum are our four values: kindness, creativity, resilience and resourcefulness. These are taught and explored by children through our Forest Schools approach to learning. At Dore Pre-School, children are given the freedom to follow their own interests. Our natural environment sparks children’s innate curiosity to learn and explore both independently and collaboratively, supported by our highly qualified and experienced staff. We hope that the experiences gained from our provision will equip children to become well-rounded, independent, articulate learners with a positive sense of themselves, ready for a positive start to school life and future learning.

Our Forest School approach to learning means that the majority of the day is spent outside, accessing our fantastic grounds. Children need to be provided with warm, waterproof clothing and suitable footwear to be able to make the most of the outdoors no matter the weather.
