On what must have been the wettest July day for years, we took six mixed teams of boys and girls to the HSBC ground for a day of football. Despite the weather, we had a great day.
In the morning, the Y4s teams played really well against some very strong teams to finish 4th, 5th and 8th in their groups.
After lunch, the Y6s did fantastically as well, finishing 1st, 4th and 5th in their groups. The ‘A’ team qualified for the semi-finals, which they won 4-1, then also won the final 3-0. They only conceded two goals all afternoon, and finished with a goal difference of +30 something!
