This week we are learning all about our garden birds and looking out for them in the school grounds. We went into the hall and used the apparatus as branches, trees and nests.
We’ve been using the binoculars to see if we could spot any birds. We saw lots of magpies and pigeons! We’ve also been recycling Christmas trees into bird hides so that we can stay hidden while we watch for birds.
We’ve been having fun indoors too, building, reading and playing games.
Making cone robins. The children found the fir cones in the woods. We talked about, and noticed why some trees had leaves and others didn’t in the winter.
We went on a bird trail and made bird feeders.
