After finding out about the Greek Myth King Midas, the children were asked to reflect upon the question, ‘What would I wish for if I had one wish?’ Using Philosophy for Children strategies, children were able to build on one another’s ideas and also challenge the wishes of some children. It was a pleasure to hear their thoughts. It was also clear that some key messages that had been delivered through assemblies were clearly a priority to the children e.g. climate change, support for the environment and treating everyone fairly.
