You might have seen this memorial on the green in Dore. Year 5 wanted on investigate futher. In fact, there is very little evidence of what took place in Dore in the 9th century. It is clear that King Ecgbert met with King Eanred but was there a battle or did something else take place?
We worked together in TASC groups to review the evidence. We then visited the green to make a presentation of what we beleive took place.
