Y1 have been learning about Aliens Love Underpants!
Year 1 have started their TASC project: What would an astronaut eat in space? and have painted their own Moon using different tones and colour mixing.
The children had a great morning, designing and creating their own rockets to kick start our space topic “Fly me to the Moon” and our English learning about Katherine Johnson.
The children created ice pendants today using natural materials. Unfortunately the temperature isn’t going to drop below 9 degrees tonight, so we’ve opted for the freezer instead!

We are so proud of how creative our children are! Here are some examples of their show and tell this week, as well as some examples of their resourcefulness and creativity whilst accessing the provision.
The children have been learning all about nouns and verbs this week, culminating in us creating our own very silly sentences from a bank of nouns and verbs that the children came up with themselves.
The children have done a great job learning about the greater than and less than symbols this week and have been using them to compare numbers.
